Request account deletion
Your right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR
Tell us the email address your Wanderful account uses and we will delete the account and the data attached to it. You do not need to be signed in, and you do not need the app installed. Submitting the form is a request, not the deletion itself — we action it by hand, within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details.
- Your conversations with the guide, and the location history attached to them.
- Photos you attached to a conversation.
- Your saved preferences and any custom instructions you gave the guide.
What we keep, and why
- Usage and cost counts, in aggregate. Identifying fields are removed, so what remains is no longer linked to you.
- Anything we are legally required to retain, and only for as long as we are required to.
- This deletion request itself, including the email address you give us. We keep it as the record that you asked and that we acted — so it outlives the account it deletes.
How long it takes, and how we will contact you
We action deletions within 30 days of your request, and usually much sooner. We will email the address you give us to confirm when it is done. Before we delete anything we may ask you one question by email, to check the request is genuinely yours — Article 12(6) GDPR lets us confirm your identity where we have reasonable doubts.
Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account, a conversation or a walking history once it has gone.
If you used Wanderful without signing up
Then there is no email address for us to match your request against, and this form cannot find you. Write to privacy@wanderful.guide instead and we will locate and erase the session.
Your other rights
Erasure is one of several rights you have over your data. For access to a copy, correction, portability, restriction or objection, see Your rights in our privacy policy, or email privacy@wanderful.guide.
